About:

Sarah May trained as a Fine Artist specialising in sculpture and installation. She has a natural intuition for harmonising elements and for using shape and movement within diverse spatial contexts. Key themes within her practice are based around the physicality of the body, how the body and fashion encounter space and the intimate relationship between materials.

Establishing her studio in 2007, she has an extensive commercial and editorial client list including, British Vogue, Dazed and Confused, Japanese Vogue, Ordinary, Camper, Paul Smith, Pepsi, Kate Spade, Swatch, and American Apparel.

Sarah continues to work as a visual artist whilst developing her roles within Set Design, Art Direction and Education.  In 2014 she was appointed by the British Arts Council to lead a fashion film project in Indonesia and continues to consult on a freelance basis. In 2015 Sarah was appointed as Associate Lecturer at The London College of Fashion.

Sarah's visual art practice complements her distinct professional roles and provides a vital space for continuous reinvention and vibrancy within her portfolio.
